Justina Consuelo Sanchez de Rodriguez, affectionately known as Ma Chelo, 94 of Olivehurst, CA slipped peacefully into the arms of the Lord, surrounded by her family at home on December 20, 2011. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was a devout Catholic. Her interests included family, gardening, cooking, sewing and watching mexican soap operas. She especially loved gardening, and tended to her plants and flowers daily. Justina is survived by her brother, Ascencion of Mexico, 3 sons, Francisco of Mexico, Raul and Adolfo of Olivehurst; 3 daughters, Loretto and Juana of Mexico, Luisa of Olivehurst; and 54 grandhcildren; and 139 great-grandchildren; 7 great great-grandchildren and 1 great great great-granchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bonifcacio Rodriguez Torres; son, Manuel Rodriguez; grand daughter Olivia McCommas; & several other grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to vigil services on Monday, December 26, 2011. Viewing will commence from 4pm followed by a Rosary at 6pm. at St. Joseph's Church in Marysville followed by a Mass of Catholic Burial on Tue, Dec. 27, 2011 at 10:00am also at St. Joseph's Church, followed by committal at Sierra View Memorial Park. Father Guillermo Rodriguez will be officiating. Mark S. Eliason is the funeral counselor in charge of arrangements.
