Obituary of James Lloyd Robison

James Lloyd Robison, age 87, passed away peacefully at his residence in Olivehurst, California on January 10, 2012 and now is in a happy place. He was born in Mt. Ida, Arkansas on June 24, 1924 to J.C. and Pearlie Robison and was 1 of 11 children. James has lived in the Yuba/Sutter area for 65 years. He retired from Erickson Lumber after 38 years, then went to work for Newton Saw & Tool which he retired from after 13 years. James loved to hunt and fish with his nephews Bob & Doug. He also enjoyed camping, John Wayne movies, and his dogs. His favorite foods included chicken & dumplings and peach cobbler. James is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lowes of Olivehurst, California; a sister, Odell Angel of Olivehurst, California; and his 3 godchildren, Lila, Katelyn and Devin. He was preceded in death by 6 sisters and 3 brothers. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst, California with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Sierra View Memorial Park. Norm Highly, Chaplain of the Olivehurst Fire Dept. will be officiating. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
