Obituary of Flora Velma Renison

Flora, age 104, passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side. A native of Custer, Oklahoma, she has lived in the Yuba/Sutter area for 88 years. Flora was a homemaker her entire life and had a way of making everyone feel special when they would come to call. She was a lifetime member of the Church of the Nazarene in Marysville where she taught Sunday school as well. Flora will be remembered with fond memories and will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by 4 grandchildren, Charles and Claude of Placerville, Earlene of Marysville and Sharon of Sacramento; 7 great grandchildren, Randall, Dennis, Jena, Carla, Alan, Melissa, Nichole; and 9 great-great grandchildren. Flora was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, George "Pete" Renison; and her daughters, Aleta and Claudine. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to charity of choice. Visitation will be on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst, with services following at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Ray Wisner of the Church of the Nazarene will be officiating. Burial will be at the Sutter District Cemetery. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
