"Sweet Jean" Ranney passed away Saturday morning, July 10, 2010 at Live Oak Manor with her family at her side. Some of the staff referred to her as (Sweet) Jean. Jean has lived in the Yuba-Sutter area since 1954. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Leon Ranney of Brownsville, her son, Roger Ranney, (Diane) of Brownsville, her daughters, Cathy Ramsey (Randy) of Ukiah and Lona Papp (Kevin) of Yuba City. Jean loved her grandchildren, Roger Ranney, Jr., of Brownsville, Eric Ramsey of Ukiah, Chad Ramsey (Geraldine) of Redwood Valley, Jered Ramsey (Jessica) of Susanville, Ryan Ramsey (Brenda) of Stockton, Chip Bagley (Debbie), Matt Bagley (Staci), Andy Bagley (Tammy) of Yuba City and Jeannette Freese of Rancho Cordova. Her great-grandchildren are Tylar, Sydney, Skylar, Mykala, Cameron, Logan, Michael, Tucker, Nicholas, Anthony, Anna, Alyssa, Carissa, Jake, Wyatt, Desiree', Oryan, Taylor and Nick. Visitation will be from 9am-11am and services will be at 11am on Friday, July 16 at Sierra View Mortuary. Burial to follow at Sierra View Memorial Park. Honor to our Savior, Jesus Christ, will be given by Pastor Chuck Stifle of Brownsville First Baptist Church. The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Live Oak Manor and Fay, the best volunteer ever. Jon L. Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
