Frances Ellen Phillips, 93, of Linda, CA passed away December 14, 2010 at The Fountains Care Center in Yuba City, California. She was born August 11, 1917 in Cimmaron, Oklahoma. Frances was the Seamstress for Bradley's Dept. Store for 12 years, a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Marysville, and a long time resident of Yuba County. She is survived by her son, Monty Phillips of Colorado, 2 daughters, Karen Schmidt of Yuba City and Sherri Short of Louisiana, 5 grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Vando Phillips, by 4 brothers and a sister. Visitation will be held Friday, December 17, 2010 from 9am - 11am, with funeral services immediately following at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst. Burial will be at Sierra View Memorial Park. A reception is to be held at 12 noon at the First United Methodist Church of Marysville, 730 D St., Marysville, CA. Jon L. Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
