Obituary of Ernest Lee Phillips

Ernie Phillips passed peacefully in his home on Wednesday evening, surrounded by loved ones. Those who knew him remember a simple man with a big heart. In his time, he learned to value the 2 most important things in life: family and friends. He taught his loved ones and anyone who would listen to give life everything you've got. Work hard for what you want, and don't complain. Many people have been touched by Ernie's strength, warm heart and straight-forward disposition. His goodness makes it hard to say goodbye, but his memory lives on in those who loved him most: his wife of 38 years, 3 children, and siblings. Upon Ernie's wishes, no memorial service will be held. His life is to be honored and celebrated, not mourned over. Mark S. Eliason is the funeral counselor in charge of arrangements.
