Obituary of Jean Sorrells Pellegrini

Jean Sorrells Pellegrini, our beloved mother, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family and friends on Monday, September 19th, 2011. She was born in Rockmart, Georgia and has lived in the Yuba/Sutter area for the past 10 years. Jean loved animals and volunteered much of her time with Sutter Buttes Canine Rescue, helping with fundraising and at the Thrift Shop. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Jean will be remembered for her sweet southern elegance and kind, unselfish charm, loved by everyone. She is the daughter of the late Fred E. Sorrells and Emma Rutlege Sorrells. Jean is survived by 2 sons, Pat (Sarah) Creel and David E. Creel; and her daughter, Theresa (Jack) Spradley. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Lee Creel, Russell Spradley, and Alicia Spradley. Jean is preceded in death by her first husband, Russell L. Creel; and her second husband, Charles A. Pellegrini. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst, California. Internment will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Sutter Cemetery in Sutter, California. Mark Eliason is the funeral counselor in charge of arrangements.
