Obituary of Robert Kershaw Parker

Robert, age 91, passed away peacefully at his residence in Brownsville, California. A native of Illinois, he has lived in the Yuba/Sutter area for 30 years. Robert had retired from the U.S. Army Air Corps after 20 years. He was a glider pilot for 3 years during WWII and had spent 15 years either training or overseeing the training of other pilots. Robert worked as a gardener for the Freemont School District for 10 years before retiring. He graduated from seminary from the Church of Religious Science, was a member of the Brownsville Swim Club and was a philosopher. Robert is survived by his son, David Parker (Terry) of Stockton, California; his daughter, Patricia Parker of Eugene, Oregon and his sister, Barbara Boetticher of Connecticut. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Tim Guerrero, Chaplain with Sutter North Hospice will be officiating. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
