Obituary of Vivian Beatrice Oaks

Our beloved Mother, Vivian Beatrice McCuller Oaks went home to be with the Lord on September 13, 2011 at the age of 90, in Yuba City, CA. She was born to Frank and Rachael McCuller on December 11, 1920, and was the oldest of four daughters. She was married to Sherman Oaks in 1938 until his death in 1993. They moved to California in 1955 from Branson, MO. Vivian graduated from the LVN program at Yuba College, and worked at Rideout Hospital for 20 years. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, her sister Verlene Todd, and daughter Peggy Newton. She is survived by her son David (Linda) of Clovis, CA, daughter Betty Oakes of Olivehurst, CA, daughter Margaret Hall (Jim) of Fresno, CA, daughter Linda Oakes of Olivehurst, CA, sister Edna Wilson of Noble, OK, and Frankie Christian of Branson, MO. Vivian is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Burial will take place at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, Saturday September 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Mark S. Eliason is the funeral counselor in charge of arrangements.
