Charles, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, July 24, 2011. He was living with his son Alan and daughter-in-law Sandy in Payette, Idaho when he passed away. He would have turned 86 on August 6. Charles was born in Norman, Oklahoma and was twice a widower. He was happily married to first wife Helen for 35 years. They raised four children prior to Helen's death in 1982. Charles married Marjorie Nielsen in 1983. They were together for 27 years before Marjorie's death in July of 2010. Charles leaves behind sons Alan and Stephen Massey and daughter Rhonda Danna. He will join another daughter, Judith Workman, already in heaven. Charles also leaves stepson Scott Nielsen and stepdaughter Melody Anderson and three step grandchildren. Charles leaves grandchildren Erin Hames, Melissa Attebery, Rob McFarland, Jennifer Mize, Brad Morris, Lindsay Johnson, Chris Pankey, and Susie Ronk. He also leaves ten great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, August 1, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with funeral services following at 10:00 a.m. at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst, California. Pastor John Treherne will be officiating. Burial will be at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, California. Military honors provided by California State Honor Guard. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
