Earl John Manion, Jr. 74, of Olivehurst, California passed away August 3, 2011 at the VA hospital in Rancho Cordova, California. Earl was born on May 22, 1937 in Landen, Wyoming. Earl had served honorably in the United States Army and spent a large portion of his time with volunteer work for the community with Stars, Gleaners, Shriners, and also a security guard for the courthouse. Survivors include his sons, John Michael Manion and Earl John Manion, III. His daughters Terry Vasquez, Tracy Mathews, and Melody Whitney. He leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 7th at the American Legion post 807, 5477 Feather River Blvd. in Olivehurst, California at 1:00 p.m. His service will take place at Sierra View Memorial Park Tuesday, August 9th at 11:00 a.m. Mark S. Eliason is the funeral counselor in charge of arrangements.
