Maria, age 97, passed away peacefully at the Yuba Skilled Nursing Center in Yuba City, California. A native of Mexico City, Mexico, she has lived in the Yuba/Sutter area for over 56 years. Maria had retired from the Danna & Danna Company as a Farm Worker after 40 years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and cooking. She is survived by her son, Joe (Carol) Cantu of Marysville, California; 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Maria is also survived by her very good friend Debbie Porcayo of Yuba City, California. Burial will be at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, California on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
