Helen passed away on February 12, 2012 at Rideout Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was born in Marysville, California on September 5, 1925 to George and Despina Marenakis. Helen began a career in bookkeeping at P.G.& E. where she met the love of her life, Tom. She also had worked for Yuba College, Payless Drugstore and Rideout Drug Pharma. Helen is survived by her daughter, Valerie Sutton (Kenneth); sons, Dennis Long, both of Marysville and Edison Long of Sutter; grandchildren, Matthew Sutton, Stefan Sutton, Austin Long and Jonathan Long; sisters, Faye Malas of Marysville and Dianna Louizos of New York City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; parents, George and Despina Marenakes; sister, Kally Anastole and brother Dennis Marenakis. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, aunt and "YaYa."
