Virble Ray (Vern) Larner of Marysville, CA. was born September 7, 1936 in Gilroy, CA. Vern passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side, and extended family at Marysville Care Center on December 12, 2011. He served 20 years in the USAF, serving in Vietnam. He also retired from Excel Corporation after 24 years in 2002. He enjoyed boating, camping, motorcycles and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Lansdon and Dianne Scott both of Marysville, CA; his brother Jerald Larner and wife Janet Larner of Gilroy, CA; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; 3 nephews and 2 nieces. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years Caryl Larner and his father and mother Eldon & Dorothy Larner. Services will be held at Sierra View Memorial Park, located at 4900 Olive Ave., Olivehurst, CA, Thursday, December 15, 2011. Viewing from 10:00am-11:45am with Graveside Service at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Sutter North Hospice at 400 Plumas Blvd. Ste. 115, Yuba City, CA 95991. Military Honors will be provided by the Beale Air Force Base Honor Guard. Mark S. Eliason is the funeral counselor in charge of arrangements.
