Obituary of Janet Elaine Lancaster

Janet, passed away peacefully at her home in Marysville, California on July 12, 2011 at the age of 64. She was born in Marysville, California on May 9, 1947 and was a Yuba-Sutter resident her entire life. Jan was a hairdresser for over 20 years in the immediate area. She also operated a transport service for about 10 years. Jan loved her home and family, enjoyed working with her many plants and flowers in her yard and doing crafts. She enjoyed being a member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West and was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church for over 15 years. Jan is survived by her husband, W. Lee Lancaster; 2 sons, Richard and Angelo Villalpando, Sr. and her brother, Ronald Ferguson, all of Marysville, California; a step-son, Robert Lancaster of Beaver Creek, Oregon and a step-daughter, Julia Lancaster of Folsom, California. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Jan was preceded in death by her father and mother, Murray and Dorothy Ferguson. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Bible Baptist Church in Marysville, California. Pastor Kerry Brown will be officiating and Steve Parker will be the soloist. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sutter-North Hospice or the American Cancer Society. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
