Obituary of Vivian Louise Kirkpatrick

Vivian Louise Kirkpatrick was born September 19, 1932, in Seminole, Oklahoma, and passed away peacefully at her Marysville home on September 11, 2010. She was a Yuba- Sutter resident since 1968, and retired after 31 years as a civil servant. She was a current member of Fidelia Chapter #56 Order of the Eastern Star. As a member of Smartville Chapter #431 she held the titles of Worthy Matron and Deputy Grand Matron. Vivian was an avid reader, loved to play bingo and work in her garden. Vivian was her High School Class Valedictorian, attending college at Oklahoma A&M, and was a notary for the State of California. Survivors include her five children, Steve Kirkpatrick of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Cindy Smith of Yukon, Oklahoma, Rhonda Eliason of Yuba City, California, Colleen Tessmann of Roseville, California, and Glenda Cameron of Anchorage, Alaska; as well as six grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Resneder of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Karen Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Sutter North Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Sierra View Memorial Park, with Pastor Rick Rockwood, officiating. Jon L. Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
