Obituary of Clarence Edgar Jarnagin

Clarence, age 80, passed away peacefully at Rideout Memorial Hospital in Marysville on May 4, 2011. He was born in Mountain View, Oklahoma on December 22, 1930 and had lived in the Yuba-Sutter area for over 51 years. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he fought in the Korean War. Clarence retired after 50 years as a tractor mechanic for Buck Beeler Tractor in Yuba City and Sacramento Ford Tractor. He enjoyed yard sales, camping, traveling and watching western movies. Clarence is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gracie Jarnagin of Olivehurst, California; by his 3 children, Sharla Banuelos, Sheila O'Leary and Larry Jarnagin, all of Olivehurst, California; 8 grandchildren, Josh, Jason and Jose J. Banuelos, Carrie Logan, Amy Wood, Ethan, Hayden and Cooper Jarnagin. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Kenneth Jarnagin of Kansas, Royce Jarnagin of Nevada and Lee Jarnagin of Tehama, California. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Sr. and Daisy Jarnagin; and by 2 brothers, Keith and Aaron Jarnagin. Visitation will be Monday, May 9, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with burial at Sierra View Memorial Park. Pastor Miguel Jurna of the First Baptist Church of Olivehurst will be officiating.
