Mary Etta Jacobs was born November 6, 1929 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She passed away peacefully January 25, 2011 at her home in Sacramento, California. Mary is survived by two siblings Albert Spencer and Roxie Hursh; her son Billy L. Jacobs, her two daughters Angela J. Balassi and Melinda F. Jacobs; her four grandchildren Steven and Heather Jacobs, Bryan and Brandon Balassi; and her great-grandchildren Daisy, Nicoli, Dyllan, Nathan and Alyxandria Balassi and Ashley and Aarianna Jacobs. She is also survived by her step-grandson Devon Burton. Mary was preceded in death by her spouse William LeeRoy Jacobs, along with numerous siblings. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 11:00am at the Sierra View Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be private. Mark S. Eliason is the funeral counselor in charge of arrangements.
