Mildred, age 85, of Marysville, died March 3, 2011 in Yuba City. She was born in Mojave, CA on May 1, 1925. She worked for the telephone company and was transferred to Marysville in 1946. Mildred met and married Doc Harvey in 1947, was a homemaker, life member of Eastern Star and volunteer for Rideout Hospital Auxiliary for 25 years. She enjoyed taking care of her home and family, jigsaw puzzles, her grandchildren, family events and car rides in the mountains. Mildred is survived by 2 sons, Robert "Bob" Harvey (Ellen) of Browns Valley, CA and Charles "Chuck" Harvey (Aleta) of Browns Valley, CA; 2 grandchildren, Teal Harvey of Rancho Cordova, CA and Michael Harvey of Browns Valley, CA.; several nieces and nephews. Mildred is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Elmo C. "DOC" Harvey. Visitation will be this Monday, March 7, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst, CA. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sierra View Memorial Park. Jon L. Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
