Ruby, age 90, passed away July 18, 2011 at the Yuba City Care and Rehab Center in Yuba City, California. She was born April 19, 1921 to George and Lillie Whiteley in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Ruby moved with her family to Porterville, California when she was a year and a half old. At the age of 13 the family moved again and setteled in the Marysville Olivehurst area. Ruby worked as a cook and waitress and at the Boston Laundry. She has 3 brothers, 1 half brother, and 4 half sisters. Ruby is survived by her 2 sons; Don Harger of Yuba City, California and Jim Harger of Olivehurst, California. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday July 26, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Sierra View Mortuary Chapel in Olivehurst, California. Burial will immediately follow the visitation at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, California. Mark S. Eliason is the funeral counselor in charge of arrangements.
