Obituary of Eva Jane Gibbs

Eva was born September 3, 1917 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Joe and Bertha Stewart. They soon moved to Texas where she grew up, met and married Roe H. Gibbs on September 6, 1937. They had 4 sons. She moved to Yuba County in 1947, living most of the time in Olivehurst. She was a homemaker. She is survived by 3 sons: JR Gibbs (Mary), Frank Gibbs of Olivehurst, and Roe Dean Gibbs (Barbara) of Gridley; 2 sisters: Bertha Edwards of Olivehurst and Helen Marshall of Hesperia, CA. She has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Bertha Stewart; her husband, Roe H. Gibbs; her brothers, Cecil, Claud, Buster, Dude, and Johnny; sisters: Jewell Williams, and Lou Sanders. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, February 20 from 10am to 12:45pm at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst, California. Services begin at 1:00pm, with burial to follow at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst. Pastor Wayne Vincent of the Loma Rica Community Church will be officiating. Mark S. Eliason is the funeral counselor in charge of arrangements.
