Obituary of Robert Manuel Garewal

Robert Manuel Garewal, age 77, entered into eternal rest on January 20, 2009, in Gridley, CA. He was born on October 28, 1931 in Brawley, CA and he was a resident of the Gridley area for 43 years. Many people in Gridley have fond memories of Mr. Garewal as the owner of Bob's Market in downtown Gridley. Robert is survived by three sons -Bobby, Randy and his wife, Deborah, and Shayne - all of Gridley, CA and a daughter, Sherri, of Roseville, CA, and by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Gene Garewal of Yuba City. Mr. Garewal was preceded in death by a brother, Peter, and by a sister, Pauline Fairfield. Robert was well known and respected in his community, he loved his family, and he will be missed by many. Services are under the direction of Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst, CA. There will be a Visitation on Monday, January 26, 2009 from 10 am - 12 pm in the chapel at Sierra View, followed by a funeral service at 12 pm. Mr. Garewal final resting place will be at Sierra View Memorial Park.
