Obituary of Joseph Howard Dockery

Joe passed away at the age of 92, at his home with his family and loved ones at his side. He was an Army Veteran and served in World War II as a welder. Joe worked as a welder for Terrell Farms in Colusa for 19 years, and a maintenance/welder for Chevron Standard Oil Co. in Pinole, where he retired in 1984. We will miss hearing his fishing and hunting stories. Joe is survived by his children, George Dockery of Isleton, Sue Goode of Marysville, Leon Dockery of Vallejo, Judy Runge of Yuba City, Joe W. Dockery of Mad River, Patty Mills of Marysville, and Paul Dickey of Corning. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Dockery, and his daughter, Sandra Dockery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst with a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. at Sierra View Memorial Park. Military honors to be provided by The State of California Honor Guard. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
