Ben Miller Cook Ben was born March 11, 1931 in Coy, Alabama and passed away July 13, 2010 in Marysville, California at the age of 79. He was one of 13 children born to Tom & Ellen Cook. Ben was a member of the Church of the Living God in Yuba City, California, the Construction & Laborers Union Local 185 and the Masonic Lodge. He was a past Deacon with the Olivet Baptist Church in Olivehurst, California and loved hunting and fishing. Ben is survived by his 2 sisters, Leitha "Lucy" Jones of Antelope, California and Ruth Sherman of North Highland, California; by his 4 brothers, Fred Lee Jones of New Orleans, Louisiana, Ralph, Artis & James Cook, all of Biloxi, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his wife Pearl Cook in 1999. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bethel AME Church in Marysville, California with funeral services at 1:00 PM. Burial to follow at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, California. Jon L. Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
