Obituary of William Henry Connor

William age 94, passed away October 18, 2011, 2 days shy of his 95th birthday, at his home in Plumas Lake, California. He was born October 20, 1916 to William and Mary Connor in Providence, Rhode Island. William is survived by his daughter Christine (Eugene) also of Plumas Lake. He was a World War II veteran serving honorably in the United States Army. William participated in the campaigns of Normandy, Northern France, The Ardennes, The Rhineland, and Central Europe. His decorations include the European African Middle Eastern campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Victory Medal. After his service in the Army, William worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years until his retirement. A graveside service with military honors will take place at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Glen Oaks Memorial Park in Chico, California. Mark S. Eliason is the funeral counselor in charge of arrangements.
