Nina, age 73, passed away peacefully at Kaiser South Medical Center in Sacramento on August 6, 2012. She was born on September 3, 1938 in Yuma, Arizona, and has lived in Sacramento County for 53 years. Nina retired from the Washington Unified School District as a School Registrar after 28 years, and was a past union regional representative for Yolo county C.S.E.A. She enjoyed cooking, baking and taking care of her family. Nina is survived by her son, Gregory Coats of Lincoln, CA; her daughter, Joni Coats of Sacramento; 4 granddaughters, Kristen Taylor of Roseville, Cheryl Coats of Folsom, Lindsey Coats and Lisa Melius, both of Sacramento; and a grandson, Jason Abello. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Wandell Christy of Sutter, Betty Miller, Joann Miller and Sandy Holsted, all of Marysville; 2 brothers, Murice Roberts of Marysville and Doyle Roberts of Yuba City; her sister in law, Carolyn Roberts of Yuba City; and several nieces and nephews. Nina was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Memorial services will be on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst, California. Pastor Al Jolley will be officiating. Burial to follow at Sierra View Memorial Park. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
