Obituary of Mary Ann Carter

Mary-Ann (Keller) Carter Died July 18, 2010 with family by her side. She was born June 21, 1919 to Adrian and Mary Keller in Billings, Montana. She quit nursing school to marry Albert Carter on December 3, 1941. Shortly after that she contributed to the war effort by working at Lockheed. They spent much of their life traveling, including living in Spain and Guam for several years. They retired to Yuba City in 1982 where Mary-Ann became a member of the Gideon's Auxiliary, and she attended the United Methodist Church and later the Church of the Nazarene where she continued her love of serving others. Mary-Ann loved art, sewing and other crafts. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert, of 65 years, and survived by her son Michel Carter and daughters Patricia Shaw, Kathleen Morrison, and Christina Carter-Winslow, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, with 3 more on the way. Services will be held at the Church of the Nazarene, 600 N. George Washington Yuba City at 10:00am on Saturday, July 24, 2010. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gideon's, 892 Bridge St., Yuba City, CA 95991.
