Murneth "Murney" Jane Burnett, age 79, passed away peacefully at Rideout Memorial Hospital in Marysville, California on December 28, 2011. A native of Sheldon, Missouri, she was born on September 3, 1932 and has lived in the Yuba/Sutter area for over 39 years. She ran Murney's Day Care in Marysville for 24 years, providing love and care for generations of children within the community. Murney was a loving and protecting mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be missed by many. She is survived by her husband, Bobbie Jean Burnett; her 3 daughters, Karen Faye Davis, Jeania Irene Brown and Tammara Lynn Burnett; her 3 sons, Steven Roy Brown, Farrell Glen McFiren and Michael Eugene Burnett; and by her sister Faye Ellen McDonald. Murney is also survived by her 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and her nephew, Tony Lee Vaughn. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lychia Ellen Brown and her niece, Patricia Gwen East and her granddaughter, Amelia Gilpin. Cremation is planned at Sierra View Crematory. Services will be private. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
