Obituary of Barbara Jean Bernardis

Barbara J. Bernardis, 89, of Marysville, California passed away August 20, 2011 at Prestige Assisted Living, Expressions, with her son by her side. She was born March 23, 1922 to Harold & Violet McKee in Bakersfield, California. Barbara was a long time resident of Oregon House, California before moving to Marysville. She was a homemaker, loved to work outside in her garden and around the house. She was a member of the Eastern Stars of Marysville, California. Survivors include her son, John E. Bernardis, Sr. (Pam) of Marysville, four grandchildren, Brian Bernardis (Donna) of Browns Valley, California, Sandy George (Adam) of Olivehurst, California, Michael Bernardis (Heidi) of Oregon House, John Bernardis, Jr. (Brenda) of Olivehurst, four great-grandchildren, John Bernardis III, Zachary Bernardis, Aaron Bernardis, Jacob Bernardis, and one great-great-grandchild, Justin Bernardis. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Warren P. Bernardis, and a son, Phillip Bernardis. The family would like to thank Prestige Assisted Living, and Sutter North Hospice for all of their support and care. Services will be held on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sierra View Mortuary Chapel in Olivehurst, California. Services will conclude at the chapel. Burial is private and will take place at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst. Sterley R. Davis will be officiating. There will be a reception immediately following the service at Peach Mobile Estates located at 5478 Arboga Road in Olivehurst. Mark S. Eliason is the funeral counselor in charge of arrangements.
