Obituary of Velma Catherine Adams

Velma Catherine Adams, beloved mother, went home to Jesus on September 12, 2011 after a short illness. She was born on December 31, 1924 in Sarcoxie, Missouri. Velma was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert W. Adams on January 5th 1995. She was a beloved homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She had 10 children; Shirley Trolinger and husband Joe (deceased), Barbara Moniz and husband Tom, Bobby Adams and Rose, Donnie Adams (deceased), Karen Walker and husband Norman, Mary Neves and husband David, Steven Adams, Catherine Buck and husband Fred, Dale Adams, Valerie Richardson and husband Ken. Velma has 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Velma is survived by her 2 sisters, Mary L. Seneker and Helen Cook; 2 brothers, Joe Burton and Lawrence P. Burton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation will be on Monday, September 19, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst. Funeral services following at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at Sierra View Memorial Park. Pastor Dale R. Adams (Velma's son) will be officiating. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Velma's life at Bible Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 2787 No. Beale Rd., Linda, California. Lunch will be served. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
