Obituary of Madeline Joy Guevara

Please share a memory of Madeline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Madeline Joy Guevara, aged 62, passed away on October 23, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy. She was a beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Madeline was born on September 25, 1962, to Thomas B. Cottman and Nilmah Kelly. She attended school in Biggs and Gridley. She met the love of her life, Rudolph Guevara in 1991 and they were married shortly thereafter on September 14, 1992. Together, they raised four boys and established their landscaping business “Yard Tech”. She would affectionately refer to herself as Tech’s wife and always referred to Rudy as Tech.

Madeline was a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 20 years. She enjoyed wearing holiday scrubs and matching pants. Throughout her career, she made numerous friends and cherished her time working with the elderly. She and Rudy always had a dachshund or two dachshunds running around. Their last one, Pancho, went to the rainbow bridge the week before she passed away. Rudy was calling for him so they could greet her together.

Madeline is survived by her sons, Glenn and Stanley Mason, her grandchildren, and siblings. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
