Flora “Marlene” Comstock, 81, of Olivehurst, CA passed away peacefully at her home on
November 19, 2023.
Marlene was born on January 1, 1942, to Freddie and Jettlee Lansdon in Marysville, CA
Marlene attended Marysville High School, where she met her future husband of 66 years, Ollis Jasper “Jay” Comstock. Together they had 4 sons; Tony, Jimmy, Larry, and Nathan. Marlene was a bus driver for over 20 years in her community, driving for CAL Fire, MJUSD, and Browns Transportation. After retiring, she spent her time fishing, gardening, camping, and taking road trips with her family.
She was a member of L.O.C.A., hosting and playing Bingo with the association for years. She served as a den mother for the Boy Scouts, a volunteer at the Little League, and a member of the Lions Club.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Freddie and Jettlee Lansdon, and her husband, Jay Comstock. She is survived by her brothers; Virgil and Laverne “LD” Lansdon, and her four sons; Tony Comstock(Pam), Larry Comstock, Jimmy Comstock(Sue), and Nathan Comstock. As well as her 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Marlene’s family and friends are welcome to attend a service at 11 am at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. A Celebration of Life will follow at the American Legion Hall on Feather River Blvd., in Linda, CA
