Pennee Kay Parker, passed away peacefully at the age of 77, August 17th, 2023.
Pennee was born in Sacramento to Irene and H. Earl Parker April 4th, 1946. Pennee grew up in Marysville, California. She attended Marysville High School but ultimately graduated from Chico High School in 1964. She attended the University of Nevada at Reno, where she was a Pi Beta Phi. She then attended UC Davis, CSU Sacramento, and McGeorge Law School. She was a lifelong student earning several degrees, and in 1988 started her legal career.
Pennee not only loved to be a student, she loved her horses, painting, photography, an occasional fast car, cooking, her Sea Ranch home and practicing law. She was a mom who cooked a full meal every night even in law school. She was a believer in justice and was a true and caring advocate for her clients.
Pennee is survived by her husband Robert Berrigan, brother H. Earl Parker Jr. (Rose), children Daniel Bergman (Stephanie) Kimberly Newkirk (Charles), Jennifer Parker Gallaway (Russel).
She leaves behind several loving grandchildren Parker, Katherine, Christopher (Regina), Justin, Russ, Jack, Chris, Brandon, Matt, and great grandchild Lawson.
In her final days, Pennee had many friends and family members by her side, surrounding her with love, after a brave battle with Alzheimer’s.
A private family service will be held at Sierra View Memorial Park where she will rest next to her parents, grand-parents and several aunts and uncles.
Eternal peace to you watching all the sunsets, listening to the ocean, feeling the sand between your toes, the touch of wet dog noses, and driving that old truck down the river road to ride the horses.
Thank you to Oakmont of Carmichael, Marge and Gracie, for loving our mom. Thank you for standing vigil with us. Thank you to all who helped care for Pennee these last years. In lieu of flowers please take time to hug your loved ones a little tighter.
