Obituary of Richard Lowe
Richard Lowe, of Tomah, Wisconsin passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023 in Olivehurst, California.
Richard was bron in Tomah, Wisconsin to Edith and Theodore Lowe on August 26, 1934. He was a very proud full-blooded Ho-Chunk Indian. He married the love of his life, Peggy Bevill on October 24th, 1958 in Pototoc, Mississippi. They were married for an amazing 65 years. Richard's last job was a school bus driver for Laidlaw for over 20 years. He was an incredible school bus driver. Richard was also a veteran of the Vietnam Was and served in the Air Force for 23 years. He was an aircraft mechanic. For the last 8 years of his service, Richard was honored and took great pride in working on the SR-71. He is a life member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 4095 Olivehurst. He was a Post Commander, All 18th District Post Commander, and an All-American Post Commander, as well as serving many years as the Post Quartermaster.
Richard is preceded in death by his mother Edith, father Theodore, brothers, Teddy, Onan, Ronald and his in-laws Carl and Bessie Bevill. Richard is survived by his wife Peggy, daughter Beverly (Harold) Spade, son Bryah (Becky) Lowe, sister Virzena Kofol, his pride and joy grandchildren, Justin, Mark, Zachary (Christine), Samantha (Jerry), Brad, his extra pride and joy great granchildren Jace, Julian, Salice, Zayda, Otto, Samara and his nieces Sharon & Sue Johnson.
Pallbearers are Harold Spade, Justin Lowe, Mark Hampton, Zachary Spade, Jerry Jensen, and Brad Lowe.
