Obituary of Esther Ruth Franks

 Esther Ruth Franks of Arboga, California, went home to be with the Lord on February 12, 2023. She was 85 years old. Esther was born on March 12, 1937, in Fairbury, Nebraska. She was a resident of the Yuba Sutter area since 1967. Esther worked twenty years for Pacific Bell starting her very first position as a switchboard operator. After retirement she kept active in church and worked over 10 years as a proctor for Red Cross.

Esther was also an extremely talented crafter, working with egg designing and quiliting. Esther gave her life to the Lord early in her life and was a long-time member of Cooper Avenue Baptist Church. She volunteered in her community during the flood of '97 with Craftsmen for Christ as well as serving for many years with C.A.N.

Esther is survived by her son, Kevin (Karen) Franks;sister, Edna; grandchildren, Brenda C. Franks, CJ Franks & Amanda Brooks; and four great-grandchildren, Miyonna, Kaiden, Kyle, & Lexis. 

Esther is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James Edwin "Ed" Franks; parents, Gertrude & Virgil Weatherford; brother, Virgil Weatherford; and daughter Brenda K. Franks.
