Donald R. Taylor Obituary Aug 3, 1945 - Oct 16, 2022

Donald “Donny” R. Taylor of Yuba City, California passed away October 16, 2022 at home. He was 77 years old. Donny was born August 3, 1945 to Jack and Olive Taylor in Marysville, CA. He was the youngest of two children. He graduated from Marysville High School and then joined the Army Corp. of Engineers. Shortly thereafter, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. After his service, he returned to the Army Corp of Engineers and worked as a surveyor for more than 35 years. He retired in 2003. In his spare time Donny loved shooting darts, watching Nascar and hanging out with his lifelong friends. He also loved hunting and fishing. He loved his family and was the son, brother, uncle and cousin that could always be counted on. He will be remembered by many for his unfading generosity. Donny was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Olive Taylor and his sister Barbara Abinante. Donny is survived by his niece Denise Benevento (husband John), Nephew Gregory Ferguson, Nephew Clifford Beumel (wife Wendy), great nephews and nieces John Jr., Francesca, Gregory Jr., Adilynn, Brandon, Isaac, and Ian and cousin’s Joan and Carol.

A graveside service will be held on November 4, 2022 at 2 pm at Sierra View Memorial Park, 4900 Olive Avenue, Olivehurst, CA 95961. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one of the charities closest to his heart, St. Jude or Shriners Hospital for Children.
