Arthur Alvin Everhart, 84, of Marysville, California passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on June 16th, 2021 in Plumas Lake, California. Art was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Harold and Elaine Everhart on January 22nd, 1937, and spent his childhood in Iowa and Southern California. He married Toshiko Sato on October 10th, 1960 in Tokyo, Japan. He retired from the United States Air Force after serving his country for 20 years in uniform. Art continued serving for 24 years as a DOD civilian. While in the military, he served in California, Japan, Alabama, Colorado, and Vietnam, finally retiring at Beale AFB in 1975. His military awards and decorations include the Vietnam Service Medal with 4 campaign stars and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Award. After the passing of his first wife in 2010, Art met Leticia Castaneto Pascua and married her in 2019. He was involved in numerous motorcycle clubs and the Tri County Filipino American Association. Art is preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Toshiko Everhart; his parents, Harold and Elaine Everhart; and his brother, Harold Everhart, Jr. Art is survived by his second wife, Leticia Everhart; his children, Brian (Brenda) Everhart and Roger (Trini) Everhart; his siblings Lynette Westfall, Kenneth Everhart, and Paul (Kathy) Everhart; his Grandchildren Matthew (Rose) Everhart, Andrew (Stephanie) Everhart, and Nicholas (Jessica) Everhart; and his great Grandchildren Nathan Everhart, Layla Everhart, Carson Everhart, Benjamin Everhart, Ryu Everhart, Travis Everhart, Jacob Everhart, Naomi Everhart and Alexander Everhart. Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 24th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Sierra View Memorial Park & Mortuary. Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Friday, June 25th at the Sierra View Memorial Park Chapel. Father Michael Kiernan, the pastor of St. Mary’s, Beale AFB, will be officiating. Graveside service and veteran tribute will follow at Sierra View Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Tommy Tompkins, Kenneth Everhart, Paul Everhart, Brian Everhart, Roger Everhart, Matthew Everhart, Andrew Everhart, and Nicholas Everhart. Art was a dedicated Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend. He could fix anything. He served his Country and his family with dedication, passion, and love. His strength can be seen in those left behind. He will forever be in our hearts.
