Obituary of James Leroy Cameron
James Leroy Cameron passed away on October 22, 2016, in his home in Marysville, at the age of 71. He was born September 22, 1945 in Sacramento. He was married to the love of his life, Betty (Gibson) until she passed away in 2007. James died peacefully losing his battle to cancer. James was employed at Pride Industries in Yuba City for 6 years and received many perfect attendance awards. He will be sorely missed by his fellow workers and the dedicated staff. James is survived by his brother Larry Cameron (Joy) and sister Carolyn Cozine, nephews Ray Cozine (Elena), Robert Cozine (Dixie), Steve Cameron (Gina), Mark Cameron (Lois) and niece Gina Babcock (Erik). James is also survived by his caregiver and longtime friend and companion, Brian Johnson. During James' last months, Brian's fiancee, Gina Roose was James' primary care giver, along with greatly appreciated Sutter North Hospice. James was preceded in death by his wife Betty, parents Harry and Verna Cameron and sister Joan Phillips. The family will hold a burial service on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Sierra View Memorial Park.
