Obituary of Ivy Joe Britton

Ivy Joe Britton, age 94, of Marysville, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2016. He was born on August 29, 1921, in Canton, Texas to Thomas D. and Cynthia Daisy (Mullins) Britton. Joe served in the U.S. Army during World War II and earned 2 Bronze Stars during his service. He continued to serve his county in the Army Reserves, retiring in 1975. He also worked as a Civil Servant for the U.S. Navy for over 30 years. Joe is survived by his son, Gary, daughters, Joleen and Rhonda, and his wife, Gracie Lorene. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Grace Arlene. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Sierra View Memorial Park. Sierra View Mortuary is assisting the family with the arrangements.
