Obituary of Kathryn Louise "Kay" Parker (Kelly)
Kathryn (Kay) L. Parker, age 72, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2015, with her family by her side after a two year fight against cancer. Kay was born in Marysville, CA the daughter of Maureen and Bryden Kelly and lived her entire life in the Yuba-Sutter area. Kay is survived by her husband of 53 years, John, her son, Rob Parker, from WA State with wife, Ali, grandchildren, Cole and Kyla. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, James Parker, of Williams, CA. Kay was a loving mother and homemaker for her family until the children grew to leave the house. She joined the workforce and became an extremely valued and trusted employee for a number of employers. She became a talented office manager and bookkeeper in the real estate appraisal industry. In addition to these outstanding family and professional accomplishments, Kay was a longtime volunteer at Rideout Hospital, managing the Pink Ladies and Gift Shop and various other roles with the Rideout Hospital Auxiliary, most recently as Treasurer ending in 2013. She loved this volunteer work and all of the great people she was privileged to work with along the way. Kay always put everyone else first and will be truly missed by her family and everyone who knew her. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 7th, at 11:00 a.m. at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst.
