Obituary of Myrtle M. Devin (Jones)

Long time Olivehurst resident Myrtle "Tena" Devin passed away on Wednesday September 18th, 2013, at the age of 78 in Rideout Hospital. "Tena" as she was affectionately known by all her friends was born in Linda and grew up in Greenville, CA. At the age of 17, she married the love of her life Pleasant Devin to whom she was married to for just one month shy of 61 years. Settling in to their home in Olivehurst in 1956, Tena and Pleasant raised 4 children, Noretta ,Peggy, Kevin, and Ray. A very proud parent, Tena attended nearly all of her kids' sporting events and truly was their biggest fan. Tena got much joy out of her children and even greater joy out of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Tena is survived by her husband, Pleasant, their four children and their spouses; Ray and Noretta Smith of Sand Springs, OK; Peggy and Carl Gore of Olivehurst; Kevin and Melissa Devin of Bothell, WA; Ray and Pam Devin of Anchorage, AK; their 11 grandchildren and their spouses and 11 great grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled for 1pm at Sierra View Mortuary on Saturday, September 21st, 2013, with a graveside service immediately following. Preceding the service there will be a viewing beginning at 10am.
