Rene Paez Sr. of Live Oak, California, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, at the age of 73.

Born on September 30, 1952, Rene lived a life centered on family, hard work, laughter, and generosity. He dedicated more than 30 years of service to the local school district, where he was respected for his commitment, dependability, and friendly nature.

Rene was known by all who loved him as a jokester with a warm heart. He was caring, loving, thoughtful, and always willing to lend a helping hand whenever someone needed him. His sense of humor could brighten any room, and his playful personality brought joy to countless family gatherings and friendships throughout the years.

His love for bringing people together. Barbecuing, making his homemade salsa, and fabulous margaritas. While listening to some oldies, creating memories that will forever, be treasured by all.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary "Terry" Paez; his children, Rene Paez Jr., Veronica Paez, Rickey Paez, and Josie Arroyo; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, with another on the way; two sisters, Hermalinda Solis and Irma Paez; and two brothers, Ruben and Robert. He leaves behind a large and loving family who will cherish his memory forever.

Rene was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Maria Paez, and his sisters, Juanita Alcantara and Mary Carrosco.

A funeral service will be held at Sierra View Memorial Chapel on 06/15/26 @ 10am

Though Rene is no longer with us, the love, laughter, and memories he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
