Obituary of Mary Ellen Garcia Martinez

Mary Ellen Garcia Martinez passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Mary was a long time resident of Sunnyvale, CA most recently residing in Plumas City, CA.

She was preceded by her husband of 65 years, Robert Delgado Martinez, brother Pauley and sisters Virginia Miller and Rosemary Townsend. Mary is survived by her brother Robert Garcia, loving mother to Robert Martinez, Connie Hilbert, Gilbert Martinez, wife Jackie, and Albert Martinez. She had an abundance of love and affection for her grandchildren; Julie, Bobby, Ricky, Josh, Tammy, Michael, Stephanie, Albert, Sabrina and Mikayla; great-grandchildren; Lucas, Colin, Emma, Abby, Riley, Alex, Leila, Venessa, Annaluise, Miguel, Marissa, Jazmyn, Katliyah, Maya, Alyssa, Gabriel, Luke, Coco, Carly and Sydney; great-great grandchildren; Kaylani and Kamira.

Mary dedicated her life to her family and friends. Attending sporting and school events for her children, grand children and great-grandchildren. Actively participated by coaching teams, planning banquets and swim parties at their home. She enjoyed playing softball, bowling and dancing at home. Mom enjoyed making many crafts, crocheting baby blankets, making Christmas ornaments and personal gifts. Our best memories will include making tamales, homemade tortillas and Mom’s beautiful smile. We will forever treasure our memories of the home our Mom and Dad created by sharing their love for each other.

Our family would like to express our gratitude for the compassion, love and daily care Sandy provided our Mom.
